Stewart Dollery has experience working in two of Ireland's busiest Osteopathic Clinics and is a fully qualified Physical Therapist and Sports Therapist. He has worked with some of the top athletes in Cork and Munster as well as earning a growing reputation for the treatment of back and neck pain. He has successfully treated patients who have struggled for years and have seen many therapists in the past. He has also completed specialised core stability courses in Miami with world-renowned Physical Therapist Paul Chek.
In Stewart's experience, most back and neck pain is due to tears in the muscles that run alongside the spine called the erector spinae. Many practitioners only treat the spine and neglect the muscle damage and thus only succeed in getting limited results. Stewart has devised a specialised treatment plan to heal those torn muscles, re-align the spine and eradicate acute and chronic back and neck pain.
Post treatment, Stewart also devises personal rehabilitation programmes for his patients Many patients travel from as far away as Kerry and Tipperary for treatment and many GP's regularly refer patients to Stewart.
Some of the teams Stewart has worked with include Glen Rovers, Bride Rovers, Brian Dillons (camogie), Ballincollig Rugby, Presentation Brothers rugby team and rowers, Avondale United soccer team, Blarney United soccer team, and Garnish Football team.
In addition to working with athletes, Stewart has also successfully treated individuals who have injured themselves simply while carrying out their normal daily activities. Some of Stewart’s patients share their thoughts below.
